During the Council of JHA in Brussels, a meeting of the President of the Council, Yannis Michelakis and Switzerland’s Minister of Justice, Mrs Simonetta Sommaruga, took place.

The Swiss Minister informed Mr Michelakis about the results of the referendum of 9 February on the restriction of the free movement of persons from third countries in Switzerland.

Greece’s Minister of Home Affairs and President of the JHA Council Michelakis thanked the Swiss Minister and underlined that the four fundamental freedoms of EU (Free movement of people, services, goods and capital) are an integral part of the EU-Switzerland relations and are indivisible.
